Netherlands Water Dispenser Market Overview
The Netherlands is among the ten largest water dispense markets in Western Europe and one of the most established in plumbed-in supply. Zenith puts the installed base at more than 85,000 units at the end of 2025, covering bottled water dispensers (BWD), point-of-use (POU) coolers and integrated tap systems (ITS).
2025 was a year of consolidation. The bottled dispenser base eased by around 2%, bulk water volume by more than 1% and the POU base by more than 3%, while integrated tap systems grew by more than 3%. The Dutch water cooler market as a whole contracted by around 2%, with integrated taps the only segment adding units.
Competition is concentrated in bottled dispense and diverse in mains-fed and taps. Culligan Netherlands operates Eden Springs Nederland, Mister Aqua and Waterlogic Netherlands. Aqua Beans, Aqua Chain Holland, H2O Drinkwatercoolers, Springwater Coolers and Dolphin Fresh Water Company are active in bottled dispense, with Ological, aQa Pickwick (Douwe Egberts), Selecta, Animo and BRITA Netherlands in POU, and Franke, EcoTap and MERKKwater in integrated taps.
